It focused on two questions:
Are the forms of organisations changing and how?
And, if so
What are the implications for leadership and leadership development?
We also looked at the changing social, economic and cultural contexts that may be affecting forms of organising, for example the knowledge economy and globalisation.
The proceedings included several expert speakers (see left) and two substantial rounds of collective inquiry amongst the participants - click here for a light hearted flavour of the process - 'Writing on the wall' and see what we made together when we trawled for current issues and trends. The morning was about 'changing forms of organisation' - the afternoon about the 'implications for leadership'. Have a look at the hypotheses and questions people produced to make sense of the issues. This website re-produces as much as possible of all of this activity.
The event touched a nerve – it was fully booked with nearly 100 people on a reserve list. This website is for anybody who is interested in the issues to continue to engage and influence the exploration as well as enabling those who couldn't attend the event to access the presentations and discussions.
