Transatlantic music is the fusion of North
American music with it's roots in the Celtic folk tradition. The
Keltones have developed a repertoire of songs and tunes ranging from
traditional Scottish airs through contemporised Celtic folk to North
American R&B. Thanks to Kiri Smith (soaring fiddle & vocals), Dave
Jenner (not just drums but masterful percussion), Rob Reed (guitars,
bass and quality vocals) and Chris Blantern (mandocellos, mandolin,
Irish whistle & vocals) the Keltones bring a fresh feel to Celtic music
with rich harmonies and a strong rhythm. This is the Keltones' first
album with 9 tracks announcing the range of their growing repertoire.
The title suggests a promise of more to come!
