Inter-Logics worked  with Bristol PCT & Social Services and St Monica Trust (a major independent provider of services to older people) to design and support an evaluation of the introuction of a new "hybrid" health & social care role within residential and domicillary care.  The project also involved connecting strategic partners to explore the implications  of new services for future care provision.

Working with the three principal health & social care agencies with the County of Ceredigion, Inter-Logics was commissioned to  create a practical strategy for collaborative inter-agency working to address to a number of key tasks within the health & social care community.  The project includes extensive work to support the capital redevelopment of the existing Community Hospitals and to integrate health & social care services and support the associated process and workforce redesign.

Corporate Research Forum (CRF)Cultural changeResearch and Development; Leadership & Organisational Development
CRF commissioned the University of Lancaster, Henley Business School and Inter-Logics to carry out a detailed research study of current concepts, practice and trends in leadership development in the UK.  This included  an introduction to current thinking on Corporate Leadership Development (CLD);  an account of contemporary CLD practice, based on 12 case studies;  an outline of four new perspectives to guide future CLD practice;  commentary on some of dilemmas around leadership development; a  review of current leadership development methods;  proposals on how organisations can review their current practice;  and a summary of the work of some leading thinkers, whose views may be particularly useful for those responsible for CLD.

Euro-Arab Management School (EAMS)Post-graduate eduicationOrganisational Learning and Culture Change
Located in Granada, EAMS was a Postgraduate Institute funded by the European Union, the Arab League and the Spanish Government
 
For some years they wanted specific modules as part of their postgraduate programmes for managers and consultants, which we provided (on management and organisational learning).  EAMS then established a Masters in Management Learning and Development, run mainly in Cairo, and required somebody to act as Academic Director for the whole programme, as well as running some of the modules and supervising half of the dissertations. Inter-Logics  took on these roles for several years unil the School completed its 7-year mission

The Training Department within Leeds Social Services was already providing a wide range of courses. As part of a major restructuring they wanted to expand their activities so that they could offer facilitation with regards to organisational change and multi-stakeholder working. Inter-Logics was asked to run a linked series of facilitation workshops and action learning sessions  and to monitor progress over a period of six months

Mott MacDonald were finding that their major clients were increasingly expecting them to have a Knowledge Management System in place. They already had numerous databases and repositories of technical knowledge but felt a need for a more integrated and interactive approach which would support the development of viable communities of practice
 
Our engagement extended over 2 years and included carrying out web-based surveys of priorities, broadening the current focus on explicit knowledge to include tacit knowledge within communities of practice, and evaluating the use of an intranet discussion forum. Inter-Logics also became part of the client’s resource offering within one of their framework agreements.

New Types of Worker (NTOW) - Skills for CareService Design, Improvement and IntegrationOrganisational Learning and Culture Change
Skills for Care initiated a 2-year programme of 28 pilot projects around New Ways of Working in order to deliver better levels of personal social service. These pilot projects covered a range of such services, including residential and domiciliary care for the elderly, dementia-care, children’s services, learning difficulties, sensory impairment, and mental health
 
Inter-Logics was contracted to provide each pilot with learning support. This took a number of forms, including  action learning,  in-house organisational learning, and an integrated interactive webtool that we designed, managed and maintained

Novartis Medical Nutrition produces and markets a  range of tube and oral nutrition brands and devices in healthcare delivery settings (hospitals, nursing homes and home healthcare). The German company was seeking a process for consulting with customers to ascertain their individual priorities for improving sales and service support, compared with that from main competitors
 
We devised such a process, which was implemented by Associate Consultants in Germany. Inter-Logics analysed the resulting data to highlight greatest cost-benefit returns of potential improvements

Olympus Optical - The UK marketing, sales and distribution function of Olympus Optical (Japan). This project concerned cameras, microscopes, endoscopes and blood analysersUser/Stakeholder Engagement or ConsultationOrganisational Learning and Culture Change
In highly competitive markets, with little product or price differentiation, Olympus felt that a key to greater competitiveness was to improve the sales and service experienced by their customers (retailers and hospitals). They also wanted a process that would enable them to differentiate between individual customers and provide sales/service improvements specifically tailored to meet individual  diverse requirements.
 
We developed and implemented a process for consulting with customers to ascertain their individual priorities for improving sales and service support from Olympus, compared with that from main competitors. We analysed these priorities to highlight greatest cost-benefit returns of improvements, both overall and with regards to the particular priorities of specific customers.

The internal Development Consultancy Unit was faced with major changes to the funding and structure of the Health Service, and needed to create a strategy for responding to these changes by reshaping their purpose and direction.
 
We carried out a web-based survey of their priorities and then facilitated a process for the first phase of developing such a strategy, with a focus on identifying their new clients and engaging with them in a dialogic process

EJABI is an institution partly supported and jointly owned by the EU and the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce. Inter-Logics was invited to take part  in the launch of EJABI and in the running of a number of workshops for local managers and consultants, in the fields of Designing Management Development Programmes, Selection and Use of Development Methods, and Programme Evaluation

Vittra is a large group of privately-owned primary and secondary schools in Sweden, known for adopting a self-managed learning approach to education
 
They were faced with a significant threat from the Swedish Parliament /Ministry of Education which was challenging this approach and indeed talking about having it declared unlawful. Vittra was therefore faced with a major risk to its future and asked us to facilitate a process whereby senior managers and teachers could respond convince the authorities that their methods were in fact not only lawful but also highly effective

ASD is an international association of consultants working out of a particular approach  - anthroposophy - to individual, organisational and community development. They wished to establish a website with some public pages www.worldofasd.net and with extensive interactive pages for members only.  Inter-Logics was asked to design and host the site, provide continuous technical support, collect and present statistics on usage and engage with users in order to facilitate the continuous evolution  of the site in line with their requirements
